Neuro ICU Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Neuro ICU team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, education, and support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Clinical Care: Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs throughout the disease process. Work collaboratively with attending physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
- Patient Education & Psychosocial Support: Educate patients and families on care and recommended resources. Provide psychosocial support to patients, their family members, and significant others.
- Information Management: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information. Protect patient confidentiality and maintain secure records.
- Quality Management: Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain and advance professional competency. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
- Active PA Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or Connecticut State Registered Nurse License, Connecticut State Nurse Practitioner License.
- Experience in Neuro ICU or related specialty preferred.
