Key Responsibilities

  1. Engage in activities related to business development, creating and adhering to a strategic action plan that is updated monthly.
  2. Identify, pursue, and follow through on business leads to generate new clients.
  3. Provide potential clients with comprehensive and accurate information about our hotel offerings.
  4. Assess client needs and address any objections, utilizing persuasive communication to secure sales.
  5. Negotiate pricing to optimize revenue streams.
  6. Foster positive relationships with existing clients by anticipating their needs and addressing any issues promptly.
  7. Implement effective revenue management strategies, including wise negotiation and booking of event spaces, particularly during low occupancy periods.
  8. Consult with client representatives to organize event details, such as expected attendance, display requirements, and catering schedules.
  9. Maintain a thorough understanding of the hotel’s amenities and services.
  10. Coordinate with various department heads to ensure all arrangements meet high service standards and guest satisfaction.
  11. Inspect event spaces and accommodations to ensure they meet the expectations of the client group.
  12. Demonstrate a strong understanding of sales techniques, catering operations, yield management, guest relations, and general hotel operations.
  13. Exhibit sound judgment in resolving guest and operational challenges.

Qualifications

Education: College degree preferred but not mandatory.

Experience: 3-5 years of hotel sales management or leadership experience with a major hotel chain or management company is required.

Language Skills: Proficiency in English is essential; bilingual abilities (Spanish) are advantageous.
