Job Overview

The Housekeeping Room Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest accommodations and public areas within the resort. This position requires a commitment to excellence and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Consistently uphold the I-Serve standards in all interactions.
  2. Follow all established company and departmental policies and procedures.
  3. Maintain a safe working environment and report any hazards.
  4. Arrive at the designated workstation punctually as per the attendance policy.
  5. Proactively suggest improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Specific Duties:

  1. Execute all assigned housekeeping tasks promptly and efficiently.
  2. Ensure guest rooms and villas are impeccably clean and well-presented.
  3. Report any maintenance issues or deficiencies in assigned areas without delay.
  4. Keep all public spaces clean and well-maintained.
  5. Ensure safety by keeping corridors and stairways unobstructed.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage areas and carts.
  7. Restock attendant carts at the end of each shift.
  8. Participate in meetings and maintain a safe workplace by reporting potential hazards.
  9. Return all lost and found items to the housekeeping manager immediately.
  10. Adhere to Welk Resorts’ Signature Guest Engagement service standards and all relevant policies.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Preferred candidates will have at least six months of relevant experience or training. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is advantageous. Proficiency in using mobile devices for task management is required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Effective communication skills with guests and colleagues are essential. Proficiency in English is required.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands for handling tasks, and the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
