Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Laborer to join our team at a well-regarded client in Romulus, Michigan, a leader in Modular Home Manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation of drywall and back paneling in modular homes, ensuring precise measurement, cutting, and fitting.
  • Perform punchout work, addressing any repairs or adjustments needed after the initial construction phase to ensure a flawless finish.
  • Patch holes, sand surfaces, and prepare drywall for painting or further finishing as part of the punchout process.
  • Use hand tools, such as saws, hammers, and drills, to perform necessary tasks related to drywall and back paneling.
  • Follow blueprints and instructions from supervisors to ensure proper and accurate installation of materials.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and is completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including properly storing tools and materials.
  • Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing tasks.
Requirements
  • Experience (4-6+ years) in general construction or labor, with specific skills in drywall installation, back paneling, or punchout work required.
  • Basic carpentry skills, ability to use power tools, and familiarity with construction practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to the job site.
