Join Our Team as a Pastry Production Assistant

Hourly Compensation:

The role of the Pastry Production Assistant involves crafting dessert offerings for service and special events.

This position requires close collaboration with the Pastry Chef to assist in all facets of production, organization, and recipe innovation.

We seek a collaborative individual who exemplifies teamwork and demonstrates initiative. The ideal candidate is self-driven and dedicated to surpassing personal benchmarks of growth and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare a variety of dessert items for the menu and events in a timely manner while adhering to departmental standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of food preparation and storage areas.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of equipment maintenance and usage; operate tools and equipment safely and as intended.
  • Organize workstation with necessary tools, equipment, and supplies, restocking as required.
  • Complete daily inventory logs and prioritize production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Communicate supply needs for ordering.

Qualifications
  • Familiarity with fundamental cooking and baking techniques; ice cream experience is advantageous.
  • Capability to accurately follow recipes and directives.
  • 1+ years of experience in a professional kitchen or bakery preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Availability to work during daytime hours from Thursday to Monday.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role include visual acuity, auditory skills, verbal communication, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing for 5 to 10 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during work hours. These physical requirements can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.
