Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Collect and verify necessary patient information, including insurance details and co-payments.
- Maintain and update patient demographic records and organizational information.
- Manage incoming calls and coordinate appointment scheduling effectively.
- Document and direct patient inquiries as needed.
- Facilitate the scheduling of external tests for patients.
- Act as a communication bridge between patients and the healthcare practice.
- Provide support for appointment scheduling as required.
Operational Duties:
- Conduct daily operations with a focus on patient safety and confidentiality.
- Complete daily reconciliation reports to ensure accurate charge entries.
- Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments and file completed records promptly.
- Organize test and procedure results in patient medical files after physician approval.
- Collaborate with company representatives to ensure appropriate services are delivered.
Compliance and Record Management:
- Review patient charts prior to appointments to confirm consent forms are current and insurance cards are valid.
- Address all medical record requests from patients, insurance providers, and legal entities in accordance with established protocols.
