Primary Duties:
- Manage binders, renewals, and related correspondence efficiently.
- Assist the Inspection Processing team by resolving discrepancies and offering insights on inspections. Participate in the Inspection Review process as directed by the CL Service Supervisor.
- Gather and structure pertinent information and reports to facilitate underwriting decisions.
- Handle all accounts, addressing client inquiries, complaints, requests, and policy processing activities within established guidelines.
- Ensure high-quality and timely processing, alongside meticulous file maintenance.
- Coordinate the submission of applications to underwriters for both new and renewed business.
- Support the quoting of renewals following Underwriter's directives.
- Implement necessary procedures to ensure adherence to corporate and regulatory standards, including out-of-state filings and Surplus lines documentation for carriers.
- Perform additional tasks as required by the underwriter.
- Collaborate with underwriters on forms, rates, and territories as needed.
- Serve as a backup for other assistants during their absence.
- Monitor the underwriter's emails in their absence.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of relevant technical insurance experience.
- Proficiency in multi-line rating or a willingness to develop this expertise.
- Knowledge of Middle Market underwriting classes, forms, procedures, regulations, coverages, and business processes for the designated territory.
- Proven ability to process endorsements with authority.
- Strong analytical skills to identify, collate, and organize information, along with the ability to provide actionable recommendations.
- Customer-focused approach with excellent customer service skills to address inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proactive mindset to complete tasks and achieve desired outcomes.
- Team-oriented attitude to contribute to profitability initiatives for the assigned territory.
- Strong organizational skills, including time management, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in computer applications, with familiarity in commercial system applications and vendor software.
- Basic mathematical skills.
