We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rail Graduate Engineer I to join our team at LJA Engineering, Inc. As a key member of our design and development team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with technical experts and peers to perform design calculations, prepare equipment or material specifications, and generate technical drawings and exhibits.
  • Expand your engineering toolbox and vocabulary to add knowledge of advanced techniques, applied theory, industry concepts, and best practices.
  • Investigate existing site conditions, jurisdictional criteria, and constraints to inform design iterations and direction.
  • Provide information or exhibits to inform client and internal leaders in decision making related to the execution or implementation of project objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an ABET-accredited university (Civil Engineering preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and a team mentality.
  • Bonus points if you have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, previous work experience in the engineering industry, experience with Bluebeam and Water Resources Software (HEC-RAS & HEC-HMS), passed the FE Exam, or have strong interpersonal skills.
