About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Controls Specialist to join our team at Freeport-McMoRan. As a key member of our project controls team, you will be responsible for coordinating with other divisions and contractors to administer project control processes and reporting, and developing and maintaining cost estimates within a cost modeling software for our Underground Operations and Expansion Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quarterly forecasts, cost reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
  • Administer and coordinate change management processes.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, finance, and project leads across multiple geographic locations to ensure adherence to project policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and update all cost-related resources within the cost model, including QA/QC of data provided by others.
  • Review cost, resource, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) trends and variances.
  • Travel to Indonesia to work closely with project leads, 1-3 times per year, to ensure standards are being followed and to train new personnel as needed.
  • Attend virtual project meetings held from the PTFI job site during evening hours AZT.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and eight (8) years of cost estimation experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be an expert user of cost modeling software.
  • Must be an advanced Excel user.
What We Offer

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $93,000-$130,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
