Position Overview: Charge RN - Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit

The Charge RN will oversee and manage the operations of the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit during designated shifts, ensuring exceptional patient care and effective unit functionality.

This role involves making critical decisions regarding resource distribution and playing a key role in patient care management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise nursing staff, including Registered Nurses and support personnel.
  • Ensure adherence to high standards of patient care and operational protocols.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members and with patients.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Competent in computer systems for accurate documentation.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Adept at following detailed instructions and protocols.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting is required.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current BLS and PALS certifications for pediatric care.
  • NRP certification for specialized care areas.
  • Valid RN License in Texas.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing.

This is a full-time position within a dedicated pediatric healthcare environment.
