Job Title: Part Time Specialty Pharmacy Technician II

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Part Time Specialty Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Elevance Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists in the daily operations of our pharmacy, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications and ensuring accurate and timely delivery to patients.
  • Conduct quality control checks on medications and supplies to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, including medication lists and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, with training and experience in alternate site/home health pharmacy practice and sterile product preparation.
  • Current, active, valid, and unrestricted Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate and/or license.
  • Continuing education necessary to maintain current licensure in all states licensed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sterile compounding experience preferred.

Work Environment:

This role is based in Florida and requires the ability to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, with potential for several times per week. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
