Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodial Worker to join our team at the Ohio State Government. As a Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and buffing floors.
  • Scrub and disinfect toilets, sinks, and other high-touch areas to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Empty and wash trash receptacles to maintain a clean and odor-free environment.
  • Wash windows, polish mirrors and glass, and vacuum and shampoo carpets to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • Maintain outside grounds, including sweeping and cleaning walkways and parking areas.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in custodial work or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The Custodial Worker will be required to work in a variety of settings, including offices, classrooms, and public areas.
