Position Overview:

Our firm is in search of a skilled and motivated Permanent Attorney with expertise in Banking & Finance, particularly focused on Low-Income Housing. This role presents a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful legal work while contributing positively to the community.

The ideal candidate will offer legal guidance and services in banking and finance law, with a specific emphasis on low-income housing tax credits and commercial finance.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice to clients within the banking and finance sector, focusing on low-income housing.
  • Analyze and apply laws, court rulings, and other legal precedents to prepare legal opinions, briefs, and cases.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate intricate loan documents, agreements, and contracts related to banking, finance, and low-income housing initiatives.
  • Advise on the structuring, formation, and management of various affordable housing transactions, particularly those involving low-income housing tax credits.
  • Represent clients in regulatory matters and disputes related to banking and finance law.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on a variety of banking and finance topics.
  • Collaborate with fellow attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver comprehensive legal services.
  • Stay informed on current laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting banking and finance law and low-income housing.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the State Bar and in good standing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in banking and finance law, with a focus on low-income housing tax credits and commercial finance.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to banking and finance, as well as low-income housing.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal documents.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, adept at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Commitment to serving low-income communities and promoting affordable housing initiatives.
