Substance Abuse Counselor Specialist

New Season Treatment Centers is a leading national healthcare service provider of outpatient treatment centers specializing in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

Key Responsibilities:- Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork for patients.
- Document patient progress through counseling and interaction through groups.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within the required time frame.
- Identify and address clinical/case management needs for patients.
- Perform individual, group, and family counseling as required.
- Report patient abuse, neglect, and exploitation as required.
- Report patient grievances as required.
- Educate patients on treatment, corresponding health issues, and steps to recovery.
- Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
- Assist in monitoring patient activities on center premises.
- Participate in community relations activities as directed and authorized.
- Ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 (Federal Confidentiality Regulations) and 45 CFR, Parts 160 & 164 (HIPAA).
- Maintain proper licensure and/or certification according to specific state requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 500 hours of experience in substance abuse is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be dependable and reliable.
- Basic mathematics skills.
