Job Title: Cashier/Food Runner

We are seeking a friendly and guest-service-oriented Cashier/Food Runner to join our team at Laziza Mediterranean Grill. As a key member of our restaurant staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, operating the cash register, and delivering food to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued.
  • Take orders accurately and efficiently, using suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience.
  • Operate the cash register and collect payment from guests, handling cash and credit transactions with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Deliver food to guests in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that every order is filled promptly and to the guest's satisfaction.
  • Answer telephones, responding to guest inquiries and assisting with take-out orders.
  • Communicate guest feedback to restaurant management, providing valuable insights to improve our services.
  • Resolve guest concerns politely and quietly, with respect and a sense of urgency.
Qualifications:
  • Must be friendly and guest-service-oriented.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to use a Point of Sale system.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work as a team-player.
Essential Physical Functions:
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Will frequently reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, fine manipulation throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from restaurant machinery, music, and customers.
  • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, and seafood.
Uniform:
  • Employees are expected to present themselves in a neat, clean, professional manner, including wearing a clean uniform, good personal hygiene, clean well-trimmed nails, and no gum chewing while on duty.
