The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking a qualified Hourly Psychiatrist for Georgia Regional Hospital Atlanta.
Candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry with a career interest and/or experience in public hospital psychiatry.
As a member of a comprehensive treatment team, the Psychiatrist will address the clinical needs of Adult and Forensic consumers and provide emergent assessment and treatment to patients during off-hours.
The Psychiatrist will examine patients, diagnose conditions, and provide treatment for individuals brought into Admissions.
Additionally, the Psychiatrist will review referrals received from outside facilities to screen for appropriateness for admission to the facility.
The Psychiatrist will also provide medical care to inpatients when needed.
The shift varies.
State law requires a national and state background check as a condition of employment.
