Job Title: Hourly Psychiatrist

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Hourly Psychiatrist at Georgia Regional Hospital Atlanta.

Job Summary:

Candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry with a career interest and/or experience in public hospital psychiatry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Address the clinical needs of Adult and Forensic consumers
  • Provide emergent assessment and treatment to patients during off hours
  • Examine patients, diagnose conditions, and provide treatment for individuals brought into Admissions
  • Review referrals received from outside facilities to screen for appropriateness for admission to the facility
  • Provide medical care to inpatients when needed
Requirements:

State law requires a National and State Background Check as a condition of employment.
