OBJECTIVE:
We are seeking a proficient physician assistant with expertise in adult reconstruction within a dynamic orthopaedic practice. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in general orthopaedics, ideally with experience in total joint management. This role offers the chance to collaborate with a highly skilled Fellowship-trained Adult Reconstruction surgeon, who conducts over 700 total and revision joint replacements annually.

PRACTICE DETAILS:
Become part of Bluegrass Orthopaedics (BGO), a leading provider of specialized musculoskeletal care in the area. Our practice in Lexington is supported by 12 sub-specialty physicians and 11 mid-level providers, alongside multiple office locations, MRI facilities, an outpatient surgical center, and physical therapy services. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Interpret laboratory findings and diagnostic reports.
  • Develop differential diagnoses and treatment strategies for orthopaedic conditions.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions under physician supervision.
  • Order and execute diagnostic procedures and tests.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including joint aspirations, fracture reductions, injections, and splint applications.
  • Manage hospital rounds, write orders, and assess consults.
  • Participate in after-hours patient call rotations.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient conditions.
  • Provide health maintenance counseling and guidance on community resources.
  • Engage in additional activities such as seminars and event coverage.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Active KY Physician Assistant License or eligibility.
  • Board Certification.
  • Valid KY Driver's License or eligibility.
  • CPR certification.
