Job Duties

  • Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
  • Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
  • Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
  • Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
  • ACLS and PALS certification required within 90 days of hire; ENCP and TNCC certifications are required within 6 months with facility program
  • A minimum of two (2) years of critical care experience
