Job Summary

We seek a skilled Nursing Professional - Critical Care to join our team at Longview Regional Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program, current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
  • Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of critical care experience.
  • Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • ACLS and PALS certification required within 90 days of hire; ENCP and TNCC certifications are required within 12 months with facility program.
