Position Overview:

The Senior Clinical Therapist at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is responsible for delivering comprehensive clinical services, including assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, and group consultations. This role also encompasses crisis intervention and critical incident management for clients and employees of partner organizations. Clinical services are primarily provided in-office, with the possibility of remote work arrangements based on agreement upon hiring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical services, including diagnostic assessments and various therapeutic modalities.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and professional standards through mandated reporting.
  • Facilitate care coordination by documenting and communicating effectively with treatment teams.
  • Conduct psychological testing as permitted by state licensure.
  • Adhere to clinical and administrative documentation standards in line with Medicaid, insurance, and departmental policies.
  • Engage in medical record reviews and program development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with administrative support to manage scheduling and service authorizations.
  • Supervise mental health paraprofessionals and social work interns.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuing education activities.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess LCSW or LPC licensure to be considered for this position.
