Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, with experience working in a correctional setting. You will be responsible for providing medical care to inmates, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing routine medical procedures, and developing treatment plans. You will also work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that inmates receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical care to inmates, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing routine medical procedures, and developing treatment plans.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that inmates receive the best possible care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for inmates with complex medical needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that inmates receive comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and training to inmates on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
Requirements:
  • State of Alaska licensure for Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
  • DEA licensure.
  • Experience working in a correctional setting.
  • Strong background in healthcare.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
