We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nights Progressive Care Unit Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and making a real difference in people's lives.
Job Summary
This role involves caring for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment but aren't unstable enough to need ICU care. As a Nights Progressive Care Unit Nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring cardiac and other critical vital signs, detecting any changes, and intervening in life-threatening or emergency situations. You will also utilize computer equipment to monitor vital information and provide quality care to your patients.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and assess patients who aren't unstable enough to need ICU care* Utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information and detect any changes, thereby enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situations* Provide high-quality patient care, focusing on the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients and their families* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care* Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and achieve optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
* 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step-down setting* Degree from accredited nursing program* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make sound decisions* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities* Valid RN license in the state of practice
