About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Recreation Program Coordinator to join our team at the City of Yorba Linda, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily Senior Lunch Program, planning and developing community-wide special events and programs, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operations of the Senior Lunch Program, including meal preparation and activities.
  • Plan, develop, and implement community-wide special events and programs.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to participant inquiries.
  • Assist in selecting, training, supervising, and evaluating part-time staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistical information related to program attendance and donations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of experience in recreation program management or supervision.
  • Valid California Driver's License and ability to drive a city vehicle.
  • ServSafe Manager certification or ability to obtain within three months.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
