Your Responsibilities:

As a Patient Care Coordination Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the guidance of a healthcare provider, which may include procedures such as casting, bracing, and injections.
- Providing clinical triage and communication as per established protocols or provider directives.
- Preparing treatment areas for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning of medical equipment.
- Conducting basic laboratory tests on-site and preparing specimens for external laboratory analysis.
- Performing phlebotomy, ensuring accurate collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for testing across all age groups.
- Administering vaccinations and conducting wellness examinations for both adults and children.
- Monitoring patient progress and assisting in the management of chronic health conditions.
- Guiding patients through the healthcare system, offering personalized education, and participating in their healthcare plans.
- Supporting special procedures not typically offered in urgent care settings, such as IUD placements, biopsies, and diabetic foot care.
- Assisting back-office operations in managing patient flow, documentation, and customer service.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and patient education tailored to individual needs.
- Performing tests and procedures as directed.
- Accurately documenting patient interactions and interventions.
- Communicating provider instructions to patients.
- Supporting non-direct patient care tasks (e.g., sterilization, inventory management, record scanning).
- Identifying opportunities for enhancing patient care.
- Collaborating with front office staff to manage patient details, scheduling, and referrals.
- Assisting or leading in emergency situations.
- Upholding confidentiality regarding patient and organizational matters, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

- Completion of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current licensure from the Idaho Board of Nursing for LPNs and RNs.
- Proficiency in venipuncture.
- Previous clinical experience is preferred.
- A customer service-oriented attitude and behavior.
- Proficiency in computer systems and relevant software necessary for performing job functions.
- Required vaccinations, including annual Influenza, Hepatitis B, TDaP, and Tuberculosis.
