Job Summary

The Infusion Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of infusion care delivery in the home setting. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills, as well as expertise in infusion therapy and nursing practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the leadership team and multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
  • Implement procedures to provide the highest level of infusion care delivery in the home setting.
  • Oversee and provide hands-on supervision of infusion nurses, including orientation and training.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Heritage Biologics and contracting nursing providers.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in infusion therapy.
  • Coordinate with the accreditation committee to ensure nursing policies and procedures meet external accreditation and compliance standards.
  • Develop assessment tools to measure the performance of Heritage Biologics staff nurses and contracted nursing agency partners.
  • Perform yearly performance evaluations for direct report staff.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with an active and unrestricted nursing license in Kansas, Missouri, and Texas.
  • Minimum 4 years of nursing experience in an infusion setting, with a preference for home infusion experience.
  • Competency in placement of peripheral IV catheters and accessing central venous access devices.
  • Active BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Valid state driver's license, reliable automobile, and proof of current automobile insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Experience with infusing biologics and specialty pharmaceutical products.
  • CRNI, IgCN, or other infusion credentialing.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds.
  • Physical screening complete with no limitations to performing job duties.
Travel and Work Location:

In-office during business hours, with travel to patient homes for patient infusions as determined by the needs of the department.
