Associate Residency Program Director Opportunity
Archway Physician Recruitment is seeking an experienced Associate Program Director to join our team in a General Surgery Residency program in North Carolina.
Program Overview
The program is a 16-resident ACGME-approved General Surgery Residency that started in July 2017. The Associate Program Director will assist the program director in providing administrative leadership and direction to the program.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional expertise and leadership to lead a newer General Surgery Residency
- Assist the program director in providing administrative leadership and direction to the program
- Direct patient care, supervise and precept residents in clinical settings
- Supervise and oversee General Surgery residency support staff
- Assist with recruiting of residents
- Develop, revise and maintain curriculum
- Lead in residents performance improvement plans, coaching, remediation and disciplinary activities as needed
- Oversight the outpatient continuity clinic experience
- Assist in ensuring the Annual Program Evaluation with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
Requirements
- Experience teaching in an approved ACGME General Surgery Residency program
- Experience with publications and grant writing skills preferred
- Critical Care Fellowship training required
