The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the labor delivery unit during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serving as a resource person for staff and modeling a commitment to the organization's vision and mission.
Responsibilities- Ensure delivery of high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the labor delivery unit.
- Direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Serve as a resource person for staff and model a commitment to the organization's vision and mission.
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
- 1+ years applicable experience Required
- Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required for all departments
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) REQUIRED
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) REQUIRED
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
