Job Summary

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital. This is a part-time position with an estimated salary of $83,000 - $114,000 per year, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing and be licensed as an RN in the State of Ohio. National Certification as a nurse practitioner by a nationally accredited organization is also required.

This role involves providing primary and/or specialty nursing and medical care in a variety of healthcare settings. The successful candidate will function in collaboration with a physician according to a standard care arrangement and specialty board certification.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions.
  2. Practice with a variety of specialty-based populations including neonatal, pediatric, and adult.
  3. Participate in quality monitoring through the review of records and treatment plans for patient outcomes.
  4. Assist with and facilitate discharge planning.
  5. May serve as resource for staff/residents and clinical preceptor for APN students.
