Position Summary
The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This position involves assisting with the receiving, stocking, and pricing of merchandise while maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement:
- Represent Horizon Ace Hardware positively within the store and the community.
- Handle transactions at the Point of Sale (POS) system for purchases and returns.
- Proactively assist customers in resolving inquiries and issues.
- Greet customers warmly and thank them upon their departure.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor when interacting with customers and team members.
- Ensure all customer inquiries are addressed promptly and courteously.
- Escalate unresolved customer complaints to management.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of products and store layout to assist customers effectively.

Store Operations:
- Contribute to a safe and professional work environment.
- Assist with the receiving and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
- Help maintain back stock levels and ensure cleanliness in all areas of the store.
- Support merchandise resets and ensure promotional signage is current.
- Participate in store meetings and communicate any operational concerns to management.

Professional Development:
- Collaborate with management to develop a training plan to enhance product knowledge and professional skills.
- Complete all required training and compliance tasks in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
- Previous retail experience is preferred.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and climb as needed.
