Fraud Investigator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fraud Investigator to join our team at HAN Staffing. As a Fraud Investigator, you will play a critical role in identifying and preventing financial crimes, ensuring the integrity of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily reviews of assigned tasks to ensure timely and effective completion.
  • Lead and execute fraud prevention, detection, investigation, and response activities for fraud and enterprise security programs and activities.
  • Identify, report, and assist with large-scale fraud events under general direction of management/senior fraud investigators.
  • Manage and lead incident process and handling of fraud investigations, coordinating the creation and implementation of systems and processes to prevent, detect, and respond to fraud.
  • Implement, execute, review, and maintain Global Security policy and procedures consistent with global standards and practices.
  • Thoroughly document case chronology and prepare reports, highlighting trends and recommending system/policy/procedure changes to mitigate future fraud.
  • Analyze situations, identify practical solutions, and escalate matters as needed.
  • Develop and maintain an established network of internal and external contacts to gather, exchange, and execute on actionable fraud and security intelligence.
  • Manage allegations of monetary fraud of $50K or less.
Requirements:
  • Research and recommend fraud prevention and detection solutions, focusing on development of automated systems and improvements in anti-fraud controls within business systems and processes.
  • Work with business units and stakeholders to recommend and implement fraud prevention and detection measures and controls.
  • Evaluate fraud protection/prevention systems and/or tools for possible implementation.
  • Support project teams as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
