Job Description

OUR JUST FUTURE is seeking a dedicated Housing Specialist to join our team in Portland, OR. As a key member of our Community Programs team, you will work closely with families and individuals experiencing homelessness or in need of supportive services.

Salary: $21.65 - 25.70/hour DOE (estimated annual salary: $45,000 - 53,400)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide strengths-based advocacy with families and individuals to secure safe and stable housing
  • Deliver culturally responsive services within the framework of Assertive Engagement and Trauma Informed Care
  • Work collaboratively with landlords, community partners, and other agencies to facilitate viable housing options and resources
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities using OUR JUST FUTURE procedures and data reporting systems
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social service/social sciences field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with crisis intervention, community networking, and resource development
  • Knowledge of local and regional housing markets, basic landlord-tenant laws, and tenant rights
  • Ability to empower and support homeless and low-income persons in life choices and change
