Job Title: Lead QA Technician

At JBS USA, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead QA Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the supervisor in pre and post-shift activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient production process.
  • Respond to quality inspection calls and assist in delegating tasks to ensure timely instructions for production changes.
  • Ensure standardized work is followed and that employees have the necessary equipment and supplies to perform their jobs.
  • Mentor and train employees on a daily basis, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet JBS standards.
  • Coordinate with QA Supervisors to ensure techs understand specifications for daily production.
  • Qualifications:
    • Demonstrate and pass all required safety courses provided by JBS.
    • Be self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of completing work assignments with minimal supervision.
    • Motivate, train, and teach employees to meet JBS standards.
    • Work with line supervisors to make placement decisions and help with make sheet.
    • Have knowledge of all jobs on designated line or have the ability to learn them.
    • Be confident in coaching and counseling employees about qualification issues.
    • Proficiency in jobs on the line.
    • Strong record of safety and attendance.
    • Good communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant walking and standing.
  • Use of hands to fingers.
  • Feel objects.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Vision capabilities.

Exposure/Risk:

  • Cold, wet, and damp environment.
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Uneven walking surfaces and slippery floors.
  • Exposure to blades.

Standard Equipment:

  • Hard Hat.
  • Safety Glasses.
  • Hair Net/Beard Net.
  • Appropriate GMP equipment.
  • Safety Toe Boots.

Specific Equipment:

  • Hearing protection.

Failure to Wear or Use Life Saving Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will result in disciplinary action, including up to termination.

I have been instructed and understand the proper use, fit, and care of personal protective equipment and the hazards associated with the job.

I will comply with all Company policies and procedures.

I understand all the requirements of the job.
