Job Overview

Position Title: Educational Support Specialist

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt

Reporting To: Principal

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Position Summary: Assist the classroom instructor in preparing educational materials, engaging with students, and managing classroom dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance students' interests, capabilities, talents, and skills through classroom activities and afterschool programs.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and leadership, fostering a positive environment that aligns with the mission of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • A dedicated, innovative, and empathetic individual with a passion for working with students in grades PK-6.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in child engagement is required.
  • Must be a practicing Christian, comfortable in a diverse Christian educational setting.
  • Will need to secure a current Educational Aide Permit.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.

Mental Functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, utilize interpersonal skills, compile, and negotiate.
