Position Overview

The Facility Cleaner is tasked with maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both residents and staff.

Benefits

Sign-on bonus of $1,500 for full-time positions and additional pay of $5/hour for pick-up shifts. This role is part of a bargaining unit. Full-time employees enjoy benefits such as health insurance, vision and dental coverage, life insurance, a 401k plan with a 4% employee contribution after one year, short-term disability, paid time off (PTO), an employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, and discounts for employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning and disinfection of residents' rooms and bathrooms to enhance living conditions in compliance with relevant standards and policies.
  • Conduct deep cleaning of rooms following resident discharge and before new admissions to ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in dining areas to enhance the dining experience.
  • Clean hallways, common areas, restrooms, and other designated spaces to uphold the facility's overall appearance.
  • Complete necessary documentation to facilitate smooth operations in accordance with applicable standards and policies.
  • Address resident and family inquiries professionally and relay concerns to the Director of Environmental Services.
  • Assist with inventory management and organization of incoming supplies while adhering to relevant standards.
  • Report any allegations of abuse or neglect to the appropriate leadership.
  • Notify management of any hazardous incidents, including injuries or equipment issues.
  • Implement disaster plans during emergencies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care environment is preferred.
  • Ability to learn new software applications as required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of interacting with executives, managers, staff, residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to understand directions and respond to inquiries promptly.
