Position SummaryThe Facility Cleaner is tasked with maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both residents and staff.
BenefitsSign-on bonus of $1,500 for full-time positions and additional pay of $5/hour for pick-up shifts. This position is part of a bargaining unit. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits such as health insurance, vision and dental coverage, life insurance, a 401k plan with a 4% employee contribution after one year of service, short-term disability, paid time off (PTO), an employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform cleaning and disinfection of residents' rooms and bathrooms to enhance the living experience in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Conduct deep cleaning of rooms following resident discharge and before new admissions to ensure a superior living environment.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas to provide an enjoyable dining experience.
- Clean hallways, common areas, restrooms, and other designated spaces to uphold an excellent appearance of the facility.
- Complete necessary documentation to ensure smooth operations of environmental services in accordance with established policies and regulations.
- Address resident and family concerns professionally and report them to the Director of Environmental Services.
- Assist with the inventory and organization of incoming supplies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- Report any allegations of abuse or neglect to the appropriate leadership.
- Notify management of hazardous incidents, including injuries and equipment issues.
- Implement disaster plans in emergencies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous experience in a long-term care environment is preferred.
- Ability to learn new software applications as required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, including the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
- Ability to understand directions and respond to inquiries promptly.
