Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and strengthen client relationships while deploying necessary resources to meet client demands, including risk assessment and resolution of underwriting or policy concerns.
- Identify potential clients and actively engage them through phone outreach or agency visits on behalf of the broker/underwriter.
- Review documents such as application forms, inspection reports, insurance maps, and medical records to evaluate risk levels based on relevant factors for underwriting consideration.
- Collaborate with Underwriters to ensure all necessary information is gathered, applications are accurately completed, quotes and binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly, and state filings are conducted in compliance with applicable laws.
- Assist Underwriters in evaluating risks submitted by Producers, determining rates for premiums and terms, and issuing written binders.
- Thoroughly examine indications, quotes, binders, submissions, and policies for completeness and accuracy.
- Conduct careful reviews of inspections utilized for underwriting information, quoting rates, or adherence to company guidelines.
- Work alongside Underwriters to ensure that policy forms are up-to-date with the latest edition dates used by each company.
- Provide telephone support, addressing basic inquiries from Producers and referring complex questions to an Underwriter for further assistance.
- Outstanding telephone communication skills.
- Ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality.
