Position Summary
The role of Clinical Faculty is integral to the College's educational philosophy and objectives. This position involves:
- Executing the College's educational philosophy, curriculum, and program outcomes through clinical instruction and community service.
- Conducting onsite teaching in collaboration with clinical partners, typically involving 12-hour shifts over three to four consecutive days.
- Overseeing all aspects of individual teaching assignments autonomously.
- Designing clinical experiences and providing direct supervision and assessment of nursing students as they deliver care.
- Evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback aligned with course objectives.
- Offering remediation support to students as necessary.
- Staying updated on agency and clinical policies with assistance from clinical personnel.
- Creating and distributing written clinical assignments tailored to students' knowledge and skill levels.
- Timely grading of assignments, quizzes, tests, and other academic work.
- Possibly delivering didactic course content under the guidance of the course coordinator.
- Keeping the course coordinator informed about student and agency-related issues.
- Reporting to the dean or assistant dean, with direct oversight from a course coordinator.
Qualifications

- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Delaware.
- A valid nursing license is required prior to accepting any clinical contracts.
- A minimum of two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years in the relevant instructional area.
- Preferred experience in teaching or precepting, though not mandatory.
- A genuine passion for nursing, education, and continuous learning.
- Exceptional expertise in the subject matter with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be necessary for teaching at specific clinical partner sites.
- A commitment to serving students and colleagues with respect and care.
- A sense of responsibility and purpose aimed at enriching the community.

Additional Information
This position is classified as a Chamberlain Visiting Professor role.
In alignment with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated compensation for this role ranges from $560 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the credit hours associated with the course.
