Production Engineering Specialist

Aegis Worldwide is looking for a Production Engineering Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy.
- An analytical and data-driven approach, with proven examples of utilizing spreadsheets to identify inefficiencies, manage scrap materials, and analyze production rates.
- Fundamental understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Process Optimization.
- Basic proficiency in quality assurance practices, including root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in metals manufacturing, particularly in environments with Foundry, Heat Treat, or Grinding operations. Background in equipment manufacturing, welding, machining, or fabrication is also valuable.
- Familiarity with tooling and fixture design.
Additional Skills:
- Experience in customer interactions.
- Knowledge of CNC Programming, especially with CNC Lathes, as there is a transition of jobs to lathe operations.
- Experience with ERP systems, including the ability to analyze low-margin jobs and develop improvement strategies.
- Experience in magnet or pattern making is a rare but desirable asset.
