The Camphill School is seeking an Academic Support Teacher to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year. This is a part-time position, up to 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, direct, and implement remedial and specialized instructions to both individual and small groups in the areas of academic instruction (reading, writing, and math)
  • Prepare and/or obtain appropriate instructional materials
  • Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with class teacher, class assistants, para-professionals, and other instructional staff in a friendly, professional manner
  • Administrative duties in collaboration with therapists and class teacher
    • Participate in development, implementation and compliance of IEP
    • Implement/Oversee data collection for the purpose of progress monitoring of students' IEP goals
    • Writing trimester reports
    • Administer standardized and informal tests, as needed
    • Participate in IEP team meetings
    • Participate in the Admissions Process for new student candidates for the class (parent and student visits, parent interview, etc.)
