Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Public Health Analyst - Project Management to join our team at the University of California. As a key member of our data team, you will play a critical role in leading initiatives that drive public health and community well-being. This position involves managing the hiring, training, and supervision of data team members, ensuring the delivery of innovative and impactful solutions.

You will also build and maintain partnerships with national and local experts, as well as high-ranking elected and appointed officials. In addition, you will provide expert consultations to ACT-funded projects on community data needs, lead the development of data tools and visualizations, and coordinate technical assistance with ACT coaches and other team leaders.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate high-impact meetings, conferences, workshops, and webinars to drive engagement and collaboration
- Manage the hiring, training, and supervision of data team members
- Ensure the delivery of innovative and impactful solutions
- Build and maintain partnerships with national and local experts, as well as high-ranking elected and appointed officials
- Provide expert consultations to ACT-funded projects on community data needs
- Lead the development of data tools and visualizations
- Coordinate technical assistance with ACT coaches and other team leaders

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 4-5 years of experience required
- Ability to work independently and have strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams
- Exceptional writing skills to produce a wide range of documents and deliverables
- Experience communicating effectively and professionally with various stakeholders, including UCLA administrators, outside funders, policy makers, and community representatives
- Strong organizational skills to successfully manage complex programs involving short deadlines and multiple tasks, in coordination with multiple teams to achieve program/project mission and goals
- Working knowledge of program/project development, evaluation, creating datasets, financial management and reporting, research principles including CITI training, grant writing and proposal submission, University procedures and policies, program/project related federal and state regulations
- Ability to seek out and learn new policies, procedures, and software to advance the mission of the program/project
- Ability to train new program/project managers and other staff within and external to the unit

Estimated Salary Range
$68,800-$141,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
