Job Title: Structural Engineering Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineering Intern to join our team at DLR Group. As a Structural Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of building types and assist in the design process of structural building systems from schematics through construction administration.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing structural designs from concept through completion of construction under the direct supervision of a licensed engineer.
  • Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
  • Prepare structural engineering construction documents in Revit.
  • Coordinate structural design requirements with architecture and other disciplines.
  • Attend structural site visits, as needed.
Requirements:
  • Enrollment in an ABET accredited Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural/Structural Engineering program.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Interest in architectural building design.
  • Experience or interest with BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit Structure) workflow.
