EMPLOYMENT STATUS:
Per diem

KEY ATTRIBUTES

Provide coverage for the postpartum unit at Rochester General Hospital's Labor and Delivery unit, one weekend per month and during weekdays as available.

No responsibilities for NICU or delivery room coverage.

Collaborate with Pediatric, Medicine-Pediatric, and Family Medicine residents, along with medical students.

Access to hospital resources, including Pediatric Emergency Departments staffed by PEM-trained physicians, experienced pediatric nurses, and comprehensive support from respiratory therapy, social work, and care management.

Enjoy excellent collaboration with the regional Children's Hospital.


CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pediatric Unit Attending:
Manage a pediatric unit with up to 12 beds, averaging 1000 admissions annually; 24/7 in-house resident coverage.

Newborn Nursery attending with 24/7 in-house neonatal NP coverage; no delivery attendance required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Light Work - Involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly; requires occasional walking, standing, or squatting.


LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Physician - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PAY RANGE:
$100.00 per hour
The stated base pay range reflects a good faith representation of potential base pay for successful candidates. It may be adjusted in the future based on factors such as experience, qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contractual agreements.
