Description

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking a medical geneticist to join the Division of Pediatric Genetics. This is a hybrid role, with responsibilities as a Hospitalist in the Department of Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care to hospitalized patients on the Hospital Medicine Service as the attending of record and patients on other services as a consultant.
  • Teach medical students and residents in the School of Medicine and Dentistry.
  • Contribute to research activities that enhance academic and clinical excellence.

The Division of Pediatric Genetics is a highly successful and active primary clinical program, providing care to patients with a wide range of genetic disorders. The division collaborates with several allied genetics programs in adult medical genetics, neurogenetics, cancer genetics, and prenatal and reproductive genetics.

Qualifications:

  • MD or equivalent degree
  • BC/BE in Medical Genetics (Clinical Genetics and/or Clinical Biochemical Genetics)
  • Eligible for licensure in the State of New York
