Job Summary

BGE, Inc. is a leading engineering consulting firm providing services in civil engineering, planning, construction phase administration, and environmental services for public and private clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct topographic, construction, and boundary surveys to determine traverse closures, traverse adjustments, field note reductions, boundary analysis, and construction.
  • Perform calculations to determine area calculations, alignments, and deed sketches.
  • Review and check work for quality control.
  • Prepare metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects.
  • Conduct deed research and perform topographic and tree location surveys.
  • Coordinate with contractors for construction staking needs.
  • Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent or specialized vocational training.
  • Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have both Party Chief experience and Office technician experience.
  • Experience in construction staking is a plus.
  • TxDOT experience a plus.
  • Ability to work outside for 8-10 hours a day.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and walk 2 miles.
