Job Description
- Processes and edits field data
- Communicates with field personnel to resolve problems and/or issues with field data
- At times will be required to make trips to field to assist in setup of complex survey projects.
- Prepares survey drawings from survey data for use in office using CAD software.
- Assigned basic, routine drafting work with few technical problems.
- Work is spot checked in progress and upon completion.
- Performs mostly non-technical drafting support for assigned projects, using a computer as an aid to drafting (CAD).
- Drafts mark-ups. Should have working knowledge of manual drafting techniques.
- Completes detailed maps from sketches, plans, written and verbal instructions using CAD programs.
- Changes and revises maps from mark-ups, redlines, and comments.
- Basic knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.
- Provides support in translation and explanation of field data based on prior years of field experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent or specialized vocational training.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) OR Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification strongly preferred
- Ten-plus years of survey experience with office experience is a plus.
- Civil 3D experience.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk 2 miles
