Job Summary

This role involves leading experimental campaigns, working with our scientific, engineering, and technical staff on the design, assembly, fielding, and operations of the next-generation Zap Energy SFS Z-pinch experiment.

As a Fusion Research Expert, you will co-supervise other scientific staff, perform data analysis, reduction, error propagation, publication, and presentation of experimental results, including computational results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and/or conducting experimental campaigns
  • Assisting in the design, assembly, fielding, and operations of Zap Energy research experiments
  • Performing data analysis, reduction, error propagation, publication, and presentation of experimental results, including computational results

The ideal candidate has experience in design, procurement, assembly, fielding, operations, and analysis of fusion plasma physics experiments.
