Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner Role Overview

In partnership with ProTouch Staffing, we seek an experienced Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in Wilmington, DE. This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Estimated Salary: $125,000 - $145,000 per year

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Rheumatology NP who can provide exceptional patient care, prescribe medications and therapies according to state regulations and practice guidelines, and participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Rheumatology, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies based on patient needs and medical guidelines.
  • Provide comprehensive patient education on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain current knowledge of best practices in Rheumatology and incorporate new information into clinical practice.

Requirements:
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • An active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Delaware and New Jersey.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) from a nationally recognized certifying body.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Rheumatology or a related field.
