Position Overview
The role of the Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Pharmacology Lab of Dr. Hyslop is to leverage expertise in immunology and regulatory compliance to design and implement translational and clinical research initiatives. This position involves interpreting and presenting findings, as well as preparing necessary regulatory submissions related to cancer immunotherapy projects.
Key Responsibilities
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Formulate scientific hypotheses pertinent to ongoing laboratory research.
- Design and execute experiments to validate these hypotheses.
- Conduct or oversee experimental procedures.
- Analyze experimental data independently.
- Compile and organize data for presentations and reports.
- Prepare comprehensive oral and written reports for the Principal Investigator, including abstracts, manuscripts, grant proposals, and presentations for various meetings.
- Perform both routine and complex procedures, analyze results, and present findings effectively in various formats.
- Collaborate with colleagues, visitors, and staff in alignment with the organizational values.
- Prepare regulatory documentation related to translational and clinical research projects, including submissions to IRB, FDA, IBC, and IACUC.
Required Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
A Ph.D. in immunology or a related field focusing on cancer immunotherapy is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in an academic or industry laboratory environment is essential.
