The MRI Technologist plays a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. As a key member of the radiology team, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce detailed images of organs, organ systems, and blood flow studies.
Responsibilities- Assist and position patients for imaging procedures
- Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary
- Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed
- Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions
- Turn over and prepare rooms using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
- High school graduate or graduate of an accredited school or college with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology
- Registered with the ARRT or ARMRIT; MRI registry within 6 months of hire
- BLS required within 30 days
- Previous MRI experience highly preferred
